The Carrigtwohill Gospel Choir are a community based choir who perform both secular & religious songs. The choir was formed in Spring 2010 and rehearse weekly in Go Safari Children’s Activity Centre, Fota Retail Park, Carrigtwohill.

The members come from all over East Cork with a number of members from the city and Ballincollig. The choir’s musical director is Aoibheann Carey-Philpott.

The choir has taken part in many galas, weddings, festivals and services since it’s foundation and were an integral vocal section in the charity CD “A Penny For your Thoughts”, which was recorded in the Cork School of Music in aid of Cork’s Penny Dinners. The choir have supported Amanda Neri in Fota House on a number of occasions and are frequent performers for charity fundraisers such as Marymount Hospice annual concert & 100 Gospel Voices for COPE.

The mantra the choir lives by is – “Sing & let your soul be filled with Joy”!
